Box Size Guide

Box Size One
Box Size Two
Box Size Three

1.1 cubic feet (37.5 x 28.5 x 24.0 cm)

Our own A4 box is most suitable for – you guessed it – A4 files. It’s also useful for A5 document wallets (such as those used for medical notes), which fit neatly in 2 rows. SDM01 is not suitable for large files.

1.6 cubic feet (40.0 x 34.5 x 27.5 cm)

Ideal for various records types. This is our most popular box and suits the needs of most businesses. This box can comfortably hold an average of 5-7 lever arch files, depending on how full they are.

1.7 cubic feet (46.0 x 37.0 x 29.0 cm)

Although only 0.1 cubic feet larger than our lever arch box, the print out box is much deeper. It’s ideal for large bound records such as bankers ledgers and was introduced upon request by financial clients.

You have two options when registering with SDM. You can either be a box-managed client, which means that the only data captured is on the box and not its contents, as well as only being able to order whole boxes from archive. The other option is to be file-managed, which means that the contents of your boxes are also barcoded and can be recalled from storage.
+
You can only request singular files from boxes if you are a file-managed client.
